Young Collectors Contemporary x The National Civil Rights Museum / by Whitney Hardy

The 2019 Young Collectors Contemporary partnered with The National Civil Rights Museum to host the professional development and community development masterclasses for +20 artists, journalists, and community builders.

  • Amy Walleston, art critic and Sotheby’s Institute Faculty led the art criticism masterclass workshop, where attendees composed short-form "flash" reviews of an artwork of their choice shown at the 2019 Young Collectors Contemporary.

  • Writers in attendance included representatives from local and national publications, online, and print.

  • De Nichols led the community development masterclass with nonprofit professionals, artists, community organizers, and more.
