About

Natalie Eddings is a photographer who was born, raised and educated in Memphis, Tennessee. As a black woman, Eddings is affected by the double- edged subjugation that a male-controlled society dominated by whiteness inflicts on those who are “other.” Engendered by her struggles with society, she works primarily with the themes of media, conversation, trauma and healing. The photographs that Eddings makes are visual representations of a search for and deliverance of goodness. Whether photos work be meditative or confrontational, she aims to critique the social structures of this world while creating beauty and sharing knowledge.
